Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.
— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
The overarching goal of this project is to facilitate intelligent, meaningful, and factual discussion about world events.
The best articles are written by people actually affected by the news. They are the ones best able to answer questions and explain to us why their news is important. They should not have to beg some western man to find their story newsworthy and tell it through a western man filter.
— Heather Marsh, News, analysis, action
Nullible will have Writers who cover the news. We allow for an article to be editable, and thus the public controls the news.
An article is a collection of arguments and ideas. We allow for a ‘counter argument’ to be submitted, to present another view. Each step of this is visible for posterity, including all revisions.
Use citations in a reliable way. We allow scoring of citations so that when a source (e.g. BBC news) is used, there is a clear indication of how reliable that source is across the entire site, inclduing the political bias it may hold.
